Queen Victoria's Pocket Watch by Patek Philippe

Patek Philippe is a Swiss-French luxury watch and clock manufacturer, located in the Canton of Geneva and the Vallée de Joux. Established in 1839, Patek Philippe is one of the oldest watch manufacturers in the world and is widely considered to be one of the most prestigious watch manufacturers. Over the years, notable Patek Philippe patrons and timepiece owners include Queen Victoria.

Victoria first discovered the brand when they presented at the London Universal Exhibition in 1851. Her watch of choice was a blue pendant watch, No. 4719. Featuring a flower bouquet set with rose-cut diamonds on a sky-blue enamel, and equipped with a yellow gold case, white enamel dial, painted Roman numeral hour markers, and blued steel Breguet hands. Unlike most models from this era, this particular watch is signed on the dial, case, and movement, making it especially remarkable.

We have many special Patek Philippe pocket watches at our Manhattan gallery including this lady's miniature watch in 18K Gold. The mechanical movement displayed on an antique gold face with Arabic numbers. The Pocket Watch is triple signed and engraved with case number, movement number, and manufacturer stamp. The watch also comes complete with 8 jewels inside as well as 8 separate adjustments. Made in the early 1900’s, approximately 1910, this adorable pocket watch is in great condition. You can see some slight rust is present on the dial, but the face, movement, and case of the pocket watch is in excellent condition.
